Working on various areas, after a time away.
Saw mill in progress
Sawmill almost completed, but still some details, as piping, a railroad logging car log dump, and more vegetation, and finally some hills and trees on the background.

Forrest being added to multiple parts of the layout, with modified commercial trees in the background and Supertrees and self made evergreens in the foreground.
Modified various trees populating the hills
Will still be modified a little more by subtle grey-blue toning, more as we approach the background
Putting the arch bridge in place and starting to embed it into the landscape.

Next laying the track on the bridge, more growth along the water and weathering the bridge and the rock castings

Here is a general view of the layout, more detailed views coming soon. Working on several areas, including the Town and Logging area as well as the Yard.

Starting to flesh out scenery in the Logging Area.
Started creation of the forest for the logging area of my layout. The Scenic Express trees look pretty realistic, but I’m going to try some various methods for enlarging the trunk diameter on some trees, which I’ll show in a future post.

Here are Scenic Express trees after soaking in matte medium, then they will get sprayed grey/tan, then more matte medium, followed by Noch leaf flake flock in varied greens.
